Lentsherd is a unique tradition which happens every year in the idyllic village of Clovelly, close to Bideford. The annual proceedings occurs on the evening of Shrove Tuesday, also known as Pancake Day to some (most!) of you.  It is a tradition of banishing away evil spirits into the sea before the beginning of Lent.
